HomeMy Public PortalAbout13941ORDINANCE NO. 13941 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($4,750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Deer Creek Public I/I Reduction (2015) (11850), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20170 with Visu- Sewer of Missouri, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Four Million Four Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy and 90/100 Dollars ($4,465,870.90) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Eighty-Four Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Nine and 10/100 Dollars ($284,129.10), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($4,750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Deer Creek Public I/I Reduction (2015) (11850), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20170 with Visu-Sewer of Missouri, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sewers in Deer Creek Public I/I Reduction (2015) (11850), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day of July, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 11, 2014.
