AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighty-Six Thousand Dollars ($86,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm sewer construction in
Fairlight and Brightling Sewer Separation (11079), in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20172 with Above and Below Contracting,
LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Sixty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred
Eighty Dollars ($68,280.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project
expenses is Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($17,720.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One: The sum of Eighty-Six Thousand Dollars ($86,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm sewer
construction in Fairlight and Brightling Sewer Separation (11079), in the City of Olivette,
Missouri.
Section Two: The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20172 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Fairlight and Brightling Sewer Separation (11079), in the City of Olivette,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of July, 2014.
Section Three: This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 11, 2014.
