AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($35,500.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal at Isabelle
I/I Reduction (11710), in the City of St. Ann, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 11710 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Twenty-Nine Thousand
Four Hundred Five Dollars ($29,405.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project
costs is Six Thousand Ninety-Five Dollars ($6,095.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($35,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private
I/I removal at Isabelle I/I Reduction (11710), in the City of St. Ann, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 11710 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the private I/I
removal at Isabelle I/I Reduction (11710), in the City of St. Ann, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 23rd day of July, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 11, 2014.
