HomeMy Public PortalAbout13954ORDINANCE NO. 13954 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,650,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the equipment procurement in Bissell & Lemay WWTP Incinerator Scrubber Replacement (11920) in the City of St. Louis and in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20196 with EnviroCare International for the aforesaid procurement. WHEREAS, the bid for the improvements is Three Million Five Hundred Thirty- Two Thousand and Fifteen Dollars ($3,532,015.00), and the allowance for other project costs is One Hundred Seventeen Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Five Dollars ($117,985.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the equipment procurement in Bissell & Lemay WWTP Incinerator Scrubber Replacement (11920) in the City of St. Louis and in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20196 with EnviroCare International as the lowest responsible bidder for project costs for the equipment procurement in Bissell & Lemay WWTP Incinerator Scrubber Replacement (11920) in The City of St. Louis and in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to a bid received and opened on the 22nd day of August, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 9, 2014.
