AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($4,950,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2015) Contract D (11871), in various sites in the Cities of Overland, St. John, Charlack,
Breckenridge Hills, and Woodson Terrace, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20173 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Four Million Seven
Hundred Forty-Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-Three Dollars ($4,748,743.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred One
Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($201,257.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($4,950,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec
Public I/I Reduction (2015) Contract D (11871), in various sites in the Cities of Overland,
St. John, Charlack, Breckenridge Hills, and Woodson Terrace, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20173 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of
sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2015) Contract D
(11871), in various sites in the Cities of Overland, St. John, Charlack, Breckenridge Hills, and
Woodson Terrace, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of August,
2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 9, 2014.
