HomeMy Public PortalAbout13964ORDINANCE NO. 13964 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($285,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Forest Brook Sanitary Relief (SKME-003 and SKME-016) Rehabilitation & I/I Reduction (10456), in the Cities of Bridgeton, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, St. Ann, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20186 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Two Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($236,520.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Dollars ($48,480.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($285,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Forest Brook Sanitary Relief (SKME-003 and SKME-016) Rehabilitation & I/I Reduction (10456), in the Cities of Bridgeton, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, St. Ann, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20186 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal in Forest Brook Sanitary Relief (SKME-003 and SKME-016) Rehabilitation & I/I Reduction (10456), in the Cities of Bridgeton, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, St. Ann, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of August, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 9, 2014.
