HomeMy Public PortalAbout13967ORDINANCE NO. 13967 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Laven-Del Ln. #1322 - 1323 Storm Sewer (10005), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20189 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Sixty-Four Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Dollars ($164,870.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Five Thousand One Hundred Thirty Dollars ($25,130.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Laven-Del Ln. #1322 - 1323 Storm Sewer (10005), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20189 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Laven-Del Ln. #1322 - 1323 Storm Sewer (10005), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of August, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 9, 2014.
