AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the rehabilitation of sanitary and combined sewers in
Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2015) Contract A (11708), in various municipalities
in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20181 with
SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary and combined sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Four Million Seven
Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-Eight and 05/100 Dollars ($4,757,488.05)
and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Forty-Two
Thousand Five Hundred Eleven and 95/100 Dollars ($242,511.95), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the rehabilitation of sanitary
and combined sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2015) Contract A (11708), in
various municipalities in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20181 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of
sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2015) Contract A (11708), in various
municipalities in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd of
September, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on November 13, 2014.
