HomeMy Public PortalAbout13984ORDINANCE NO. 13984 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at Lang Royce Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-320) (11715), in the Cities of Ferguson and Dellwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20184 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is One Million One Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-One Dollars ($1,158,961.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is One Hundred Ninety-One Thousand Thirty-Nine Dollars ($191,039.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at Lang Royce Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-320) (11715), in the Cities of Ferguson and Dellwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20184 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at Lang Royce Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-320) (11715), in the Cities of Ferguson and Dellwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of September, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on November 13, 2014.
