AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for Upper Coldwater Section D I/I
Reduction (11681), in the Cities of Edmundson, Woodson Terrace and Berkeley, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20206 with Gershenson Construction Co. for
the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Forty Nine Thousand Nine
Hundred Ninety-Nine and 20/100 Dollars ($49,999.20) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Five Thousand and 80/100 Dollars ($5,000.80), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for Upper
Coldwater Section D I/I Reduction (11681), in the Cities of Edmundson, Woodson Terrace and
Berkeley, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20206 with Gershenson Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for Upper
Coldwater Section D I/I Reduction (11681), in the Cities of Edmundson, Woodson Terrace and
Berkeley, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of October, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on December 11, 2014.
