AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Dollars
($145,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for storm sewer construction in Breezeridge and Fawnridge
Storm Sewer (11170), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20210 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Ninety-Eight Thousand Eight
Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($98,889.00), and the allowance for construction change orders
and other project expenses is Forty-Six Thousand One Hundred Eleven Dollars ($46,111.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One: The sum of One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Dollars
($145,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for storm sewer construction in
Breezeridge and Fawnridge Storm Sewer (11170), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri.
Section Two: The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20210 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Breezeridge and Fawnridge Storm Sewer (11170), in the City of Des Peres,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day of October, 2014.
Section Three: This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on December 11, 2014.
