AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Ballas Road Subtrunk South Public I/I Reduction (11934), in
various sites in the Cities of Town and Country, Country Life Acres, Des Peres, Crystal Lake
Park and Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20190 with
SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million Two
Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Four and 11/100 Dollars ($3,268,424.11)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred
Thirty-One Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Five and 89/100 Dollars ($131,575.89), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Ballas Road Subtrunk South Public I/I
Reduction (11934), in various sites in the Cities of Town and Country, Country Life Acres, Des
Peres, Crystal Lake Park and Frontenac, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20190 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of
sanitary sewers in Ballas Road Subtrunk South Public I/I Reduction (11934), in various sites in
the Cities of Town and Country, Country Life Acres, Des Peres, Crystal Lake Park and
Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of November, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 8, 2015.
