AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($780,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal at Roxbury
I/I Reduction (11680), in The City of Clayton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20215 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for the private I/I removal is Six Hundred Twenty-Five
Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($625,225.00) and the allowance for change
orders and other project costs is One Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Five
Dollars ($154,775.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($780,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal at
Roxbury I/I Reduction (11680), in The City of Clayton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20215 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the private I/I
removal at Roxbury I/I Reduction (11680), in The City of Clayton, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 14th day of November, 2014
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 8, 2015.
