AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy Dollars ($270,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Bissell
Point I/I Reduction (BP-619) (Valley Dr) (11686), in the Cities of Riverview, Bellefontaine
Neighbors, St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20228 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private
I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Two Hundred Thirty-Two
Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty Dollars ($232,830.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Seven Thousand One Hundred Seventy
Dollars ($37,170.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy Dollars ($270,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I
removal in Bissell Point I/I Reduction (BP-619) (Valley Dr) (11686), in the Cities of Riverview,
Bellefontaine Neighbors, St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20228 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Bissell Point I/I Reduction (BP-619) (Valley Dr) (11686), in the Cities of Riverview,
Bellefontaine Neighbors, St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 9th day of December 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 12, 2015.
