HomeMy Public PortalAbout14027 Bissell Hills Sanitary Relief/Calumet I/I Reduction BP-317 11685ORDINANCE NO. 14027 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Bissell Hills Sanitary Relief/Calumet I/I Reduction (BP-317) (11685), in the Cities of Riverview, Bellefontaine Neighbors, and St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20229 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is One Million Two Hundred Six Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($1,206,525.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Ninety-Three Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars (193,475.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Bissell Hills Sanitary Relief/Calumet I/I Reduction (BP- 317) (11685), in the Cities of Riverview, Bellefontaine Neighbors, and St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20229 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal in Bissell Hills Sanitary Relief/Calumet I/I Reduction (BP-317) (11685), in the Cities of Riverview, Bellefontaine Neighbors, and St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of December, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 12, 2015.
