AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) from
the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Brooktrail Ct. Storm Sewer (11211), in the
City of Creve Coeur, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20225 with
Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Forty-Nine Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($49,750.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project expenses is Twenty Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($20,250.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Brooktrail Ct. Storm
Sewer (11211), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20225 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of storm sewers in Brooktrail Ct. Storm Sewer (11211), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of December 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
