AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($130,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Chelsea and Idlewild
Storm Sewer (11243), in the City of Glendale, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20232 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Eight
Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($108,889.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-One Thousand One Hundred Eleven Dollars
($21,111.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Chelsea and
Idlewild Storm Sewer (11243), in the City of Glendale, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20232 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Chelsea and Idlewild Storm Sewer (11243), in the City of
Glendale, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of December 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 12, 2015.
