AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary
sewer construction in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek A (P-750) Phase VI (10656), in
the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20233 with Gershenson Construction Co. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Million Four
Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($2,470,000.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($230,000.00).
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for sanitary sewer construction in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek A
(P-750) Phase VI (10656) in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20233 with Gershenson Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek A (P-750) Phase VI (10656), in the
City of Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of
December 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 8, 2015 by the following vote –
Ayes – A. Mandel, J. Faul, R. Berry, V. Patton, M. Yates and R. Bonner.
