AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($850,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal at Marietta
Dr Storm Separation and I/I Reduction (BP-292) (11659), in the City of Normandy, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20241 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc.
for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Six Hundred Twenty-
Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars ($628,727.00) and the allowance for
change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Twenty-One Thousand Two Hundred
Seventy-Three Dollars ($221,273.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($850,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal at
Marietta Dr Storm Separation and I/I Reduction (BP-292) (11659), in the City of Normandy,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20241 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the private
I/I removal at Marietta Dr Storm Separation and I/I Reduction (BP-292) (11659), in the City of
Normandy, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of January 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 12, 2015.
