HomeMy Public PortalAbout14053 DC06 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III and I/I Reduction 10576ORDINANCE NO. 14053 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at DC-06 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III & I/I Reduction (10576), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20240 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is One Million One Hundred Sixty-One Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Three Dollars ($1,161,973.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is One Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Twenty-Seven Dollars ($188,027.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at DC-06 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III & I/I Reduction (10576), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20240 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at DC-06 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III & I/I Reduction (10576), in the Cities of Creve Coeur and Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of January 2015. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 12, 2015.
