HomeMy Public PortalAbout14058 Brookhurst Drive Storm Sewer 11206ORDINANCE NO. 14058 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($725,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Brookhurst Drive Storm Sewer (11206), in the City of Warson Woods, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20227 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Four Hundred Seventy- Three Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Six Dollars ($473,176.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Fifty-One Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Four Dollars ($251,824.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($725,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Brookhurst Drive Storm Sewer (11206), in the City of Warson Woods, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20227 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Brookhurst Drive Storm Sewer (11206), in the City of Warson Woods, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 4th day of December 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 12, 2015.
