AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars
($135,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Manchester & Missouri
Avenue Phase II Storm Improvements (11032), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20242 with Taylormade
Construction Co., LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Ten
Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Five and 25/100 Dollars ($110,155.25) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Four Thousand Eight Hundred
Forty-Four and 75/100 Dollars ($24,844.75), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars
($135,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Manchester & Missouri Avenue Phase II Storm Improvements (11032), in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20242 with Taylormade Construction Co., LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Manchester & Missouri Avenue Phase II Storm Improvements
(11032), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day
of February 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on April 9, 2015.
