AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Four Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($3,480,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction at Forestwood Sanitary Relief (SKME-435) (10142), in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20255 with Unnerstall
Contracting Co., Ltd. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Three Million One
Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Twelve and 50/100 Dollars ($3,172,812.50)
and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is Three Hundred Seven Thousand
One Hundred Eighty-Seven and 50/100 Dollars ($307,187.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Four Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($3,480,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
sanitary sewer construction at Forestwood Sanitary Relief (SKME-435) (10142), in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20255 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary
sewer construction at Forestwood Sanitary Relief (SKME-435) (10142), in Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of March
2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
