HomeMy Public PortalAbout14078ORDINANCE NO. 14078 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Dollars ($645,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction at Kingston I/I Reduction and Pump Station Elimination (11054), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20250 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Four Hundred Ninety- Two Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Dollars ($492,860.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars ($152,140.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Dollars ($645,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction at Kingston I/I Reduction and Pump Station Elimination (11054), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20250 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer construction at Kingston I/I Reduction and Pump Station Elimination (11054), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day of February 2015. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
