HomeMy Public PortalAbout14083ORDINANCE NO. 14083 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ten Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($10,850,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Bissell & Lemay WWTP Incinerator Scrubber Replacement (11920), in the City of St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20236 with Contegra Construction Company, LLC, for the aforesaid construction services. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction services is Thirteen Million Sixty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($13,067,000.00), minus Two Million Nine Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Six and 79/100 Dollars ($2,938,376.79) for equipment previously procured under a separate construction contract authorized by Ordinance No. 13954 and adopted on October 9, 2014, resulting in Ten Million One Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Three and 21/100 Dollars ($10,128,623.21), and the allowance for other project costs is Seven Hundred Twenty-One Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Six and 79/100 Dollars ($721,376.79), equaling Ten Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($10,850,000.00). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Ten Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($10,850,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for construction costs for the Bissell & Lemay WWTP Incinerator Scrubber Replacement (11920), in the City of St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20236 with Contegra Construction Company, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for construction services for the Bissell & Lemay WWTP Incinerator Scrubber Replacement (11920), pursuant to a bid received and opened on the 18th day of March, 2015; said contract to be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on April 9, 2015.
