AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Bissell - Coldwater - Missouri - Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2015)
Contract G (11926), in the Cities of Berkeley, Breckenridge Hills, Edmundson, Florissant,
Hazelwood, Overland, St. Ann, St. John, Woodson Terrance, and Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20194 with Insituform
Technologies USA, LLC, for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Six Million Three
Hundred Forty-Two Thousand Seventy-Three Dollars ($6,342,073.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand
Nine Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars ($257,927.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Six Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell - Coldwater - Missouri - Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2015)
Contract G (11926), in the Cities of Berkeley, Breckenridge Hills, Edmundson, Florissant,
Hazelwood, Overland, St. Ann, St. John, Woodson Terrance, and Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20194 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Bissell - Coldwater - Missouri - Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2015) Contract G (11926), in the Cities of Berkeley, Breckenridge Hills, Edmundson,
Florissant, Hazelwood, Overland, St. Ann, St. John, Woodson Terrance, and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of April 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 2015 by the following vote –
Ayes –M. Yates, J. Faul, R. Berry, A. Mandel, V. Patton and R. Bonner.
