AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for site work for future storage
tank at Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D Wet Weather Storage Facility Tank C
(11726), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20169 with Goodwin Brothers Construction Co. for the aforesaid site work for future storage
tank.
WHEREAS, the bid for the site work is One Million Five Hundred Fifteen
Thousand Dollars ($1,515,000.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is
Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for site
work for future storage tank at Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D Wet Weather
Storage Facility Tank C (11726), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20169 with Goodwin Brothers Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the site
work for future storage tank at Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D Wet Weather
Storage Facility Tank C (11726), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 17th day of April 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 2015 by the following vote –
Ayes –M. Yates, J. Faul, R. Berry, A. Mandel, V. Patton and R. Bonner.
