AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer construction in
Coldwater Sanitary Trunk Sewer Section A Rehabilitation (SKME-240) (10557) in the City of
Florissant and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20167 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
construction services.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction services is Eight
Hundred Seventy-Eight Thousand Four Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($878,413.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred
Twenty-One Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars ($121,587.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Coldwater
Sanitary Trunk Sewer Section A Rehabilitation (SKME-240) (10557), in the City of Florissant
and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20167 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Coldwater Sanitary Trunk Sewer Section A Rehabilitation (SKME-240) (10557),
in the City of Florissant and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received on the 7th day of April 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 2015 by the following vote –
Ayes –M. Yates, J. Faul, R. Berry, A. Mandel, V. Patton and R. Bonner.
