HomeMy Public PortalAbout14090ORDINANCE NO. 14090 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm sewer and detention basin construction in Harlem - Baden Relief Phase IV (Hebert) (Detention Basin) (11768), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20264 with Goodwin Brothers Construction Co. for the aforesaid storm sewer and detention basin construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Five Million One Hundred Eighty- Seven Thousand Dollars ($5,187,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Six Hundred Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($613,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One: The sum of Five Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm sewer and detention basin construction in Harlem - Baden Relief Phase IV (Hebert) (Detention Basin) (11768), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two: The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20264 with Goodwin Brothers Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer and detention basin construction in Harlem - Baden Relief Phase IV (Hebert) (Detention Basin) (11768), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of April 2015. Section Three: This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 2015 by the following vote – Ayes –M. Yates, J. Faul, R. Berry, A. Mandel, V. Patton and R. Bonner. Nays – None Secretary-Treasurer
