AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($140,000.00) from the General Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Telegraph Road #2928 I/I Reduction (11918), in Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20261 with J.H. Berra
Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction of storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction of storm sewers is One Hundred Sixteen
Thousand Eighty-Five Dollars ($116,085.00) and the allowance for construction change orders
and other project expenses is Twenty-Three Thousand Nine Hundred Fifteen Dollars
($23,915.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($140,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the General Fund for project costs for the construction of storm sewers
in Telegraph Road #2928 I/I Reduction (11918), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20261 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Telegraph Road #2928 I/I Reduction (11918), in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 9th day of April 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 2015 by the following vote –
Ayes –M. Yates, J. Faul, R. Berry, A. Mandel, V. Patton and R. Bonner.
