HomeMy Public PortalAbout14094ORDINANCE NO. 14094 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($1,330,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Webster Acres Sanitary Sewer Replacement (11086), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20265 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is One Million One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($1,175,978.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand and Twenty-Two Dollars ($154,022.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($1,330,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Webster Acres Sanitary Sewer Replacement (11086), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20265 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Webster Acres Sanitary Sewer Replacement (11086), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of April 2015. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 2015 by the following vote – Ayes –M. Yates, J. Faul, R. Berry, A. Mandel, V. Patton and R. Bonner. Nays – None Secretary-Treasurer
