AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($240,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Frontenac Forest to
Portland Drive Storm Sewer (11219) in the City of Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20267 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the
aforesaid construction of storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction of storm sewers is One Hundred
Ninety-Nine Thousand Two Hundred Five Dollars ($199,205.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-
Five Dollars ($40,795.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($240,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Frontenac Forest to Portland Drive
Storm Sewer (11219) in the City of Frontenac, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20267 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Frontenac Forest to Portland Drive Storm Sewer (11219) in the City of
Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of April 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 2015 by the following vote –
Ayes –M. Yates, J. Faul, R. Berry, A. Mandel, V. Patton and R. Bonner.
