Home My Public Portal About14121ORDINANCE NO. 14121 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in the Forest Brook Sanitary Relief (SKME-003 and SKME-016) Public Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction (11944) project, in the Cities of Bridgeton, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, St. Ann, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20259 with SAK Construction, LLC, for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million Three Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Fourteen and 50/100 Dollars ($3,322,714.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-Five and 50/100 Dollars ($177,285.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT Section One. The sum of Three Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in the Forest Brook Sanitary Relief (SKME-003 and SKME-016) Public Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction (11944) project, in the Cities of Bridgeton, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, St. Ann, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20259 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in the Forest Brook Sanitary Relief (SKME-003 and SKME-016) Public Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction (11944) project, in the Cities of Bridgeton, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, St. Ann, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of May 2015. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted July 9, 2015.
