AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand Dollars
($762,000.00) from the Coldwater Creek Operation, Maintenance, Construction Improvement
Fund and Eight Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($888,000.00) from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I
removal in the Midland Sanitary Relief—Public and Private I/I Reduction (11663) project in the
Cities of Overland and Breckenridge Hills, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20280 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and
private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is
One Million Five Hundred Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($1,512,545.00)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred
Thirty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-Five Dollars ($137,455.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand Dollars
($762,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Coldwater Creek Operation, Maintenance,
Construction Improvement Fund and Eight Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Dollars
($888,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction and private
I/I removal in the Midland Sanitary Relief—Public and Private I/I Reduction (11663) project, in
the Cities of Overland and Breckenridge Hills, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20280 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction and private I/I removal in the Midland Sanitary Relief—Public and Private I/I
Reduction (11663) project, in the Cities of Overland and Breckenridge Hills, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received on the 20th day of May 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted July 9, 2015.
