HomeMy Public PortalAbout14133ORDINANCE NO. 14133 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($660,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Ballas Road Subtrunk South I/I Reduction (11682), in the Cities of Town and Country, Des Peres, Crystal Lake Park, and Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20292 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Six Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Five Hundred Three Dollars ($623,503.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars ($36,497.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($660,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Ballas Road Subtrunk South I/I Reduction (11682), in the Cities of Town and Country, Des Peres, Crystal Lake Park, and Frontenac, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20292 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal in Ballas Road Subtrunk South I/I Reduction (11682), in the Cities of Town and Country, Des Peres, Crystal Lake Park, and Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of June, 2015. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted August 13, 2015
