REGULAR MEETING
April 24, 2007
The Moab City Council held its Regular Meeting on the above date in
the Council Chambers of Moab City Offices, located at 217 East Center
Street, Moab, Utah. Mayor Sakrison called the Pre -Council Workshop
to order at 6:30 PM.
Mayor Sakrison called the Regular City Council Meeting to order at 7:00
PM and led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Also in attendance were
Councilmembers Gregg Stucki, Keith Brewer, Rob Sweeten, Kyle
Bailey and Jeffrey Davis; City Manager Donna Metzler, City
Recorder/Assistant City Manager Rachel Ellison and Police Chief Mike
Navarre. Six (6) members of the audience and media were present.
There were no minutes to approve.
There were no Citizens to be Heard.
An Engineering Department Update was not given.
Under Planning Department Update, Community Development Director
Olsen stated that the Planning Commission was working on the large
scale retail and the short term rental ordinances.
A Police Department Update was not given.
A Public Works Department Update was not given.
A Presentation was made by Bruce Hucko on behalf of the Moab Arts
Council.
A Presentation was made by Ginny Carlson on behalf of the Moab Trail
Mix Committee.
Councilmember Bailey moved to approve a Request for Use of Swanny
City Park by the Moab Music Festival on September 8, 2007.
Councilmember Brewer seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0
aye.
Councilmember Sweeten moved to approve Proposed Ordinance #2007-
05 an Ordinance of the Governing Body of Moab Annexing Property to
the City of Moab. Councilmember Stucki seconded the motion. The
motion carried 5-0 aye.
Councilmember Sweeten moved to approve a Subdivision Boundary
Line Adjustment for the Allen Subdivision. Councilmember Stucki
seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0 aye.
There was no Correspondence to be Read.
Under Administrative Reports, City Manager Metzler stated that there
would not be a joint City/County meeting the next Friday and that the
next budget meeting was May 1, 2007 at 7:00 PM. City Manager
Metzler stated that the presentation of the proposed aquatic center to the
Community Impact Board (CM) would be on May 3, 2007.
Under Goal Updates Councilmember Bailey stated that the Hospital
District could not cover the payments on the CIB loan but that Moab
Valley Health would cover half of the payment.

Councilmember Sweeten stated that legislation had passed to fund a new
administrator position for higher education.
A Report on City/County Cooperation was not given.
Mayor and Council Reports were not given.
Councilmember Davis moved to pay the bills against the City of Moab
in the amount of $106,979.82. Councilmember Brewer seconded the
motion. The motion carried 5-0 aye by a roll -call -vote.
Mayor Sakrison adjourned the meeting at 7:58 PM.
