AUTHORIZING THE REJECTION OF BIDS AND AUTHORIZING
RE -BIDDING FOR A NEW CARTE RET UEZ FIVE YEAR PLAN
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the `Borough") UEZ previously solicited and
received bids for a new Five Year Plan (the "Plan") on January 30, 2024; and
WHEREAS, upon a review of said bid submittals for the said Plan, the Borough's UEZ
Director ( the "Director") has determined that all of the submittals substantially exceeded
his authorized estimate for said work; and
WHEREAS, the Director has recommended that the previously received bids be rejected
and to re -bid for a new Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that all of the bid submittals
received for the new UEZ Five Year Plan are hereby rejected, and the return of all of the
bidders' bid bonds, if any, is hereby directed, along with a notification of the rejection of
all bids.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the UEZ Director is hereby authorized to solicit
new bid submittals for the Five Year.Plan and all appropriate Borough Officials are
hereby authorized to take any necessary actions in furtherance hereof.
Adopted this 8a' day of February, 2024,
and certified as a hue copy of the
original on February 9, 2024.
