AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($815,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Six Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($665,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
the Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for sanitary sewer construction at Holly
Drive Sewer Separation (11097), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20289 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid
sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million Two
Hundred Eighty-One Thousand One Hundred Three Dollars ($1,281,103.00) and the allowance
for change orders and other project costs is One Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred
Ninety-Seven Dollars ($198,897.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($815,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Six Hundred Sixty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($665,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for
sanitary sewer construction at Holly Drive Sewer Separation (11097), in the City of Webster
Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20289 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary
sewer construction at Holly Drive Sewer Separation (11097), in the City of Webster Groves,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of June, 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
