AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($3,850,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Bissell - Coldwater - Missouri - Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2016) Contract A (12060), in the Cities of Jennings, Florissant, Northwoods, Pasadena Hills and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20283 with SAK Construction, LLC, for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million Six
Hundred Forty-Three Thousand Ninety and 50/100 Dollars ($3,643,090.50) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Six Thousand Nine
Hundred Nine and 50/100 Dollars ($206,909.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($3,850,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell - Coldwater - Missouri - Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2016)
Contract A (12060), in the Cities of Jennings, Florissant, Northwoods, Pasadena Hills and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20283 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Bissell - Coldwater - Missouri - Meramec Public I/I Reduction (2016) Contract
A (12060), in the Cities of Jennings, Florissant, Northwoods, Pasadena Hills and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of July 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted September 10, 2015.
