AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary
sewer construction and private I/I removal in Lackland I/I Reduction (11712) in the Cities of
Breckenridge Hills, Overland, St. John and Charlack, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20301 with Pangea, Inc. d/b/a Pangea Group for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is
One Million Five Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Four and 69/100
Dollars ($1,583,374.69) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project
expenses is One Hundred Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Five and 31/100 Dollars
($116,625.31), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
projects costs for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Lackland I/I Reduction
(11712), in the Cities of Breckenridge Hills, Overland, St. John and Charlack, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20301 with Pangea, Inc. d/b/a Pangea Group, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary
sewer construction and private I/I removal in Lackland I/I Reduction (11712) in the Cities of
Breckenridge Hills, Overland, St. John and Charlack, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the
21st day of July 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
