AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-Two Thousand Dollars ($42,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for construction costs for private I/I removal in
Newcastle I/I Reduction (11664) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20294 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private
I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Thirty-Seven Thousand Seven
Hundred Twenty Dollars ($37,720.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project expenses is Four Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Dollars ($4,280.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty-Two Thousand Dollars ($42,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for construction costs for private I/I removal
in Newcastle I/I Reduction (11664) in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20294 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for construction costs for private I/I removal in
Newcastle I/I Reduction (11664) in the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on
the 24th day of June 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
