AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for construction costs for
wastewater treatment plant construction in Coldwater Creek WWTP Screenings &
Washer/Compactor Improvements (11809) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20285 with Plocher Construction Company,
Inc., for the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is Three
Million Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($3,290,000.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($210,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for wastewater
treatment plant construction in Coldwater Creek WWTP Screenings & Washer/Compactor
Improvements (11809) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20285 with Plocher Construction Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for
wastewater treatment plant construction in Coldwater Creek WWTP Screenings &
Washer/Compactor Improvements (11809) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 12th day of June 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted September 10, 2015.
