AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00)
from the Operations, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used
for construction costs for storm sewer construction in West Oak Drive Storm Improvements
(11000) in the Cities of Glendale and Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20299 with Gaehle Grading, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Thirty-Five Thousand
One Hundred Twenty-Four Dollars ($35,124.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Three Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Six Dollars
($3,876.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One The sum of Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek for storm sewer construction in West Oak Drive Storm Improvements (11000) in the
Cities of Glendale and Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20299 with Gaehle Grading, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in West Oak Drive Storm Improvements (11000) in the Cities of Glendale and
Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of July 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing ordinance was adopted September 10, 2015.
