AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Nine Hundred Seventy Thousand
Dollars ($3,970,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (WC-02 & WC-03) (12063) in the
Cities of Pagedale and Wellston and the Village of Hillsdale, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20282 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary
sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million Seven
Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Five and 75/100 Dollars ($3,763,855.75)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Six
Thousand One Hundred Forty-Four and 25/100 Dollars ($206,144.25); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Nine Hundred Seventy Thousand
Dollars ($3,970,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (WC-02 & WC-03) (12063) in
the Cities of Pagedale and Wellston and the Village of Hillsdale, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20282 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (WC-02 & WC-03) (12063) in the
Cities of Pagedale and Wellston and the Village of Hillsdale, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
on the 20th day of August 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on October 8, 2015.
