HomeMy Public PortalAbout14236ORDINANCE NO. 14236 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,220,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Rock Hill Sanitary Relief (SKME-618) (11069) in the Cities of Rock Hill and Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20317 with Bi-State Utilities Company for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is One Million One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Three Dollars ($1,135,693.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty-Four Thousand Three Hundred and Seven Dollars ($84,307.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,220,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Rock Hill Sanitary Relief (SKME-618) (11069) in the Cities of Rock Hill and Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20317 with Bi-State Utilities Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Rock Hill Sanitary Relief (SKME-618) (11069) in the Cities of Rock Hill and Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 20th day of August 2015. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted on October 8, 2015.
