HomeMy Public PortalAbout14249ORDINANCE NO. 14249 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Black Creek Sanitary Sewer and I/I Reduction (11883) in the Cities of Clayton, Ladue, Olivette, and University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20334 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is Three Million Two Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($3,226,123.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($223,877.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Black Creek Sanitary Sewer and I/I Reduction (11883) in the Cities of Clayton, Ladue, Olivette, and University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20334 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Black Creek Sanitary Sewer and I/I Reduction (11883) in the Cities of Clayton, Ladue, Olivette, and University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 17th day of September 2015. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on November 12, 2015
