AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Dollars
($326,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Five Hundred Nine Thousand Dollars
($509,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for storm sewer and sanitary sewer construction in Meadowridge and Eastwood
Storm and Sanitary Relief (11840) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20325 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid
storm sewer and sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer and sanitary sewer construction is Seven
Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($755,623.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Nine Thousand
Three Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($79,377.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Dollars
($326,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of Five
Hundred Nine Thousand Dollars ($509,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operations,
Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for storm sewer and sanitary
sewer construction in Meadowridge and Eastwood Storm and Sanitary Relief (11840) in the City
of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20325 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer and sanitary sewer construction in Meadowridge and Eastwood Storm and Sanitary Relief
(11840) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 9th day of
September 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
