AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) from the
Operations, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of University City and One
Million Sixty Thousand Dollars ($1,060,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for storm sewer construction and private I/I removal in University City I/I Reduction – West
(11672) in the Cities of Olivette, Overland, Creve Coeur, and Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20314 with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction and private I/I removal is
One Million Sixty-Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($1,068,778.00) and
the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty-One Thousand
Two Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars ($81,222.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of
University City and the sum of One Million Sixty Thousand Dollars ($1,060,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for storm sewer construction and private I/I
removal in University City I/I Reduction – West (11672) in the Cities of Olivette, Overland,
Creve Coeur, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20314 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction and private I/I removal in University City I/I Reduction – West (11672) in the Cities
of Olivette, Overland, Creve Coeur, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received on the 26th day of August 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
