AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer rehabilitation
in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2016) Contract A (11709) in various municipalities
in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20306 with
SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Four Million Three
Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Four and 75/100 Dollars
($4,333,374.75) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
One Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Five and 25/100 Dollars ($166,625.25);
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2016) Contract A (11709) in various
municipalities in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20306 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2016) Contract A (11709) in various
municipalities in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 25th day of
September 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on December 10, 2015.
