AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in Selvidge Area
I/I Reduction (11665) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20330 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Three Hundred Forty
Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars ($340,769.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Fifty-Nine Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-One
Dollars ($59,231.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in
Selvidge Area I/I Reduction (11665) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20330 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary sewer construction in Selvidge Area I/I Reduction (11665) in the City of Ballwin,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of September 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on December 10, 2015.
